I was browsing through my friends list when I saw a rec for a novella around 34K. Hmm, I thought, my Snupin BLU fic wasn't much shorter than that.
That's when it hit me. I wrote a novella. Not a single word for four years and suddenly I've written a freakin' novella. I produced a baby novel in just a few months.
I'm not sure if I should throw my muse a toga party or pat it on the head and send it on vacation so it doesn't freak out under all the stress.
I can't wait for the grand reveal in July, not only for the other awesome stories and art from the fest but because then I'll actually see it as a finished piece in front of me. I keep staring at my monitor and thinking I should be writing, only to remember that the story's over. I don't know, maybe something else will bubble up out of my subconscious like this did. Writing this story was honestly kind of freaky.
Seriously. A novella. What the fuck muse?
